Who is ABM?
ABM is a Facility Management Provider.
They provide a wide variety of services in each industry that they serve, though they are one of the leading installers for EV charging ports. ABM has the scope to design, self-perform, and manage an implementation of EV chargers that’s customized for your properties and your key metrics.
Project Brief:
ABM gave us a very thorough Design Brief to give us a head start on the design process. This included the components they required, the roles of each person involved in the EV charging process, market statistics, and general EV charging info.
Research
Based on the design brief ABM gave us and additional research we did in the field and on a site called Plugshare, we were to design a unit that could be: wall mounted or put on a pedestal, easy to service, easily shippable, economically feasible, manages the cables well, protected from the weather, aesthetically pleasing, has an intuitive user experience, and is somewhat innovative.
